This is the day in the lunar calendar when the moon is full and looks the nicest. In Vietnam they celebrate by wearing masks and having balloons and toys for children. It's kinda like halloween but twice a year!
Unfortunately we forgot to bring out camera, so here are some pics we stole from a news site! ;)
Another tradition on this day is to eat a special fish cake. Actually it doesn't have fish inside, but it is a sweet cake in the shape of a fish...

Happy mooncake festival, we have those lanterns and the kids will go out and play with it and light up candles, but we wear no mask like halloween, tht fun..kind of different. I was at the park with Dilys and Jared to celebrate the mooncake festival. Well, it was crowded and alot of programmes but we left after awhile. It was quite enjoying though! We do have supermarket sell that kind of fish and I do have a lot of mooncakes at home..
